2020 was a roller coaster of a year, Promotions of every sort were stalled and nearly impossible. Limited shows, concerts, live parties, block parties, Videos and many others.
The major way Nigerian acts got money (shows/concerts) was drastically reduced, only digital streaming platforms were available, this became a lifeline for music & other forms of entertainment.
The lows of the year 2020 did not stop the production of some melodious tunes that could make the cut the Best songs in the said year.
However as expected there is an endless debate among fans on the one that claims the top spot out the list of 30.
Amidst all these, we feel artistes had more than enough time to be in the studio, many became producers and sound engineers, several major projects dropped, Olamide released 2 albums ‘999 and Carpe Diem’, Wizkid dropped the highly anticipated ‘Made in Lagos’, Tiwa Savage released ‘Celia’, several new acts were discovered and fresh voices were celebrated.
